Page type: Material category

Advanced ceramic powders

Specialty oxides for optical, electronic, ceramic and research requirements. Define which impurities matter, rather than relying on a purity label alone.

## Choose a material

### Hafnium, niobium and tantalum oxides

Define the assay basis and the impurities that matter to the process. A 4N or 5N label needs its calculation basis and analytical method.

## Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

**Identity & grade basis**

Provide the exact oxide, phase and intended use. Clarify whether the stated assay is on a total-material or trace-metals basis.

**Impurity specification**

Name the critical contaminants and maximum limits. Request analytical methods and reporting/detection limits suitable for the decision.

**Process & evidence**

Connect particle size, moisture, phase and packaging to the intended process. Ask which data can be tied to a specific grade or batch.

## Before you choose

**What does a 4N or 5N purity label leave unresolved?**

The analytical basis, excluded components and individual impurity limits still need review. A nominal purity figure is not a complete specification for an optical or electronic process.

**What does this directory cover?**

Common oxide feedstocks, rare-earth oxides and stabilized zirconia remain separate to keep grade-selection tasks clear.

## What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

- Exact oxide and phase
- Purity basis and critical impurities
- Analytical method and reporting limits
- Particle profile, moisture and packaging

### Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
