## Choose a material

### Garnet and phosphor powders

Separate the host material from the doped phosphor. Include the dopant and excitation/emission conditions needed to assess an optical result.

## Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

**Host & activator**

Specify the host phase and dopant, not just the requested color. Keep nominal chemistry and grade-specific composition distinct.

**Optical test basis**

Provide excitation/emission needs and the conditions for spectral, color-coordinate or efficiency comparison.

**Process compatibility**

Discuss particle size, coating, matrix, loading and thermal or humidity exposure in the intended device or formulation.

## Before you choose

**Is a phosphor's visible powder color enough to select a grade?**

No. The host/activator system, excitation conditions and processing environment need to match the application. Illustrative powder photography cannot establish emitted color or spectral performance.

**What does this directory cover?**

LED packages, lamps and finished optical components are not powder products. Functional pigments are listed separately.

## What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

- Host phase and dopant/activator
- Excitation/emission and measurement conditions
- Particle size and surface treatment
- Matrix, exposure conditions and evaluation quantity

### Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
