## Choose a material

### Bronze and brass

Distinguish Cu-Sn bronze from Cu-Zn brass. Give the composition limits and whether the process needs pre-alloyed powder or an elemental blend.

#### Bronze powder

bronze (Cu-Sn) copper-tin alloy powder; exact composition is grade-specific

Cu-Sn system

#### Brass powder

brass (Cu-Zn) copper-zinc alloy powder; exact composition is grade-specific

Cu-Zn system

### Other copper alloy systems

Cu-Ni, Cu-Cr-Zr, Cu-P and Cu-Al need separate composition briefs. Match particle profile and oxygen criteria to the forming, sintering or coating route.

#### Copper-nickel alloy powder

cupronickel (Cu-Ni) copper-nickel alloy powder; exact composition is grade-specific

[Selection guide](<https://powdchem.com/products/metal-alloy-powders/copper-alloys/#group-2>) [Ask about this material](<https://powdchem.com/request-a-quote/?material=Copper-nickel+alloy+powder+%28Cu-Ni+system%29>)

Cu-Ni system

#### Copper-chromium-zirconium alloy powder

copper-chromium-zirconium (CuCrZr) alloy powder; exact composition is grade-specific

[Selection guide](<https://powdchem.com/products/metal-alloy-powders/copper-alloys/#group-2>) [Ask about this material](<https://powdchem.com/request-a-quote/?material=Copper-chromium-zirconium+alloy+powder+%28Cu-Cr-Zr+system%29>)

Cu-Cr-Zr system

#### Copper-phosphorus alloy powder

copper-phosphorus (Cu-P) alloy powder; exact composition is grade-specific

[Selection guide](<https://powdchem.com/products/metal-alloy-powders/copper-alloys/#group-2>) [Ask about this material](<https://powdchem.com/request-a-quote/?material=Copper-phosphorus+alloy+powder+%28Cu-P+system%29>)

Cu-P system

#### Copper-aluminum alloy powder

aluminum bronze (Cu-Al) alloy powder; exact composition is grade-specific

## Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

**Alloy composition**

Specify the alloy grade or elemental limits. Distinguish pre-alloyed powder from an elemental blend and state the required supply form.

**Particle profile**

Record size distribution, morphology, oxygen and flow/apparent density where relevant to the process.

**Process & evaluation**

Describe pressing, sintering, coating or conductive-formulation use. The chemistry alone does not define processing behavior.

## Before you choose

**Is a Cu-Sn elemental blend equivalent to pre-alloyed bronze powder?**

They are different feedstocks. State which architecture your process requires and agree the chemical and particle acceptance criteria before comparing options.

**What does this directory cover?**

Elemental copper is listed under non-ferrous metals. Powder, paste, wire and finished components are separate supply forms.

## What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

- Alloy grade or composition limits
- Pre-alloyed versus blend requirement
- Particle profile, oxygen and flow/density
- Forming/sintering or formulation route

### Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
