Advanced ceramic powders

Rare-Earth Oxides

Rare-earth oxide powders for ceramic, optical, magnetic and research inquiries. Select by element, oxidation state and the impurity evidence your process needs.

Closed sample vials holding pale oxide powders

Which rare-earth form do you need?

The element name alone does not identify the material. Choose the chemical form first.

Choose a material

Lanthanum through europium oxides

Choose the exact oxide formula first. Compare the rare-earth assay basis, other rare-earth impurities and particle requirements for the intended process.

Gadolinium through lutetium oxides

An element name does not define the oxide grade. Include phase, particle distribution and the impurity profile required for the formulation or research task.

Yttrium and scandium oxides

Keep Y2O3 and Sc2O3 distinct from elemental metal and other compounds. Specify loose powder or prepared feedstock, together with the intended ceramic or coating process.

Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

Oxide identity

State the element and oxidation state or formula. A mixed rare-earth oxide is different from a specified single oxide.

Composition & purity

Distinguish total rare-earth oxide content, individual oxide content and trace impurities. Record the analytical basis.

Supply brief

Describe particle size, calcination or moisture requirements, quantity, use and destination. Review the current material documents with the proposed option.

Before you choose

Are rare-earth metals and their oxides equivalent procurement items?

No. The chemistry, handling and processing tasks differ. An oxide specification cannot be used as the specification for an elemental rare-earth metal powder.

What does this directory cover?

This page covers oxide powders; elemental rare-earth metals have a separate directory. Shipment eligibility is reviewed for the exact material and destination.

Rare-Earth Compound Powders

Fluoride, oxyfluoride, hydroxide and Ce-Zr mixed-oxide powders for coating, ceramic and research requirements. Compare the chemical form and particle requirements.

What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

  • Element, oxidation state and formula
  • Oxide content and purity reporting basis
  • Critical impurity and particle-size limits
  • Intended use, quantity and destination

Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
