Semiconductor & Chalcogenide Powders
Semiconductor and chalcogenide compound powders for materials, optical and thermoelectric research. Exact composition and phase come first.

Elemental semiconductor research powders
Choose the element, then the purity basis and critical impurities. Wafers, ingots and targets are different supplied forms.

Layered sulfides
MoS2, WS2, SnS and SnS2 need distinct formulas and phase requirements. Keep stoichiometry explicit when comparing candidates.
Molybdenum disulfide powder
molybdenum disulfide powder (MoS2; transition-metal dichalcogenide, TMD)
MoS2
Tungsten disulfide powder
tungsten disulfide powder (WS2; transition-metal dichalcogenide, TMD)
WS2
SnS
Tin disulfide powder
tin(IV) sulfide semiconductor powder (SnS2)
SnS2
Other chalcogenide compounds
Use the exact sulfide or selenide composition, particle profile and intended preparation process. Application names alone do not specify analytical purity.
ZnS
Copper sulfide powder
copper(II) sulfide semiconductor powder (CuS)
CuS
Zinc selenide powder
zinc selenide semiconductor powder (ZnSe; II-VI compound semiconductor)
ZnSe

Material selection guide
Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.
Compound identity
Provide the formula, elemental ratio, dopant and intended phase. Similar names may describe a different stoichiometry or crystal form.
Purity & preparation
State critical impurities, oxygen/moisture requirements, particle profile and the intended thermal or deposition process.
Packaging & destination
Use the material-specific SDS to discuss handling, atmosphere and shipment. A semiconductor application does not establish an electronic-grade certification.
Before you choose
Does a semiconductor material name imply semiconductor-grade purity?
No. The application label and an analytical grade are different statements. Define the impurity limits and evidence required for your process.
What does this directory cover?
Wafers, ingots, sputtering targets and deposition services are not powder supply entries on this page.
What to include in your request
A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.
- Exact formula, stoichiometry and phase
- Dopant and critical impurity limits
- Particle profile and intended process
- Atmosphere, SDS, use and destination
Quantity, samples and documents
Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.
We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
