Advanced ceramic powders

Nitride Powders

Boron nitride, aluminum nitride, silicon nitride and other ceramic nitride powders. Match the chemistry and crystal form to the intended process.

Boron nitride crystal forms

Start with hexagonal h-BN or cubic c-BN (CBN). The shared BN formula does not identify the crystal form; keep the phase and intended process together.

Aluminum and silicon nitrides

AlN and Si3N4 are separate ceramic systems. For AlN, include oxygen and surface-treatment requirements; for Si3N4, specify the required phase balance.

Transition-metal nitrides

Select the complete nitride identity, then phase, nitrogen/oxygen content and particle profile. Keep coating research and bulk-powder processing requirements explicit.

Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

Material & phase

Separate hexagonal BN from cubic BN/CBN, and distinguish AlN from Si3N4. Retain the exact phase or phase-ratio requirements in the brief.

Particle & surface

Describe particle distribution, shape, agglomeration and surface treatment. For treated grades, specify what must be confirmed about the coating.

Process & documentation

Connect the grade to sintering, filler formulation or research. Review oxygen/moisture limits, test methods and appropriate handling information.

Before you choose

Can BN, AlN and Si3N4 substitute for one another?

They are different ceramic material systems. Start from the application and processing conditions. Even within BN, hexagonal powder, cubic superabrasive and nanosheets require separate specifications.

What does this directory cover?

Dedicated thermal filler treatments and BN nanosheets have related entries, while the chemical identity remains explicit throughout the catalogue.

What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

  • Nitride formula, crystal form and phase requirements
  • Particle size, morphology and treatment
  • Oxygen, moisture and impurity limits
  • Process, quantity and evaluation documents

Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
