Use the recognized alloy designation and required composition limits. A family label such as Al-Si-Mg does not replace a grade specification.

Provide the intended machine/process and evaluation plan. Packaging and shipment are reviewed using the exact candidate's material information.

Can two powders carrying the same alloy name be interchanged in a machine?
Not without comparing particle profile, chemistry, powder-production route and the equipment requirements. A grade name alone is not a qualification result.
