Silicide Powders

Metal silicide powders for heating, high-temperature, electronic and research material inquiries. Use the complete stoichiometry and intended phase.

Choose a material

Molybdenum and tungsten disilicides

Specify the disilicide phase and composition. For a heating-material inquiry, include the forming process and operating environment used in evaluation.

Titanium, tantalum and niobium disilicides

Keep the metal-to-silicon ratio explicit. Compare phase and impurities against the intended electronic-material or ceramic research process.

Magnesium silicide

Use the Mg2Si identity and required phase evidence. Thermoelectric research requests also need the composition and evaluation conditions to be clear.

Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

Silicide identity

Distinguish disilicides such as MoSi2 and WSi2 from Mg2Si and other stoichiometries. Include the target phase and allowable secondary phases.

Composition & particle profile

Describe silicon balance, oxygen and other critical impurities, together with the particle distribution and shape.

Processing context

Explain whether the powder is for compaction, a coating process, thermal or electronic research. This determines which data is useful.

Before you choose

Is a silicide powder a blend of metal and silicon powders?

A compound powder and an elemental blend are different supplied materials. State whether you require a formed silicide phase and what phase-identification evidence is needed.

What does this directory cover?

Elemental silicon, metal powders and finished heating elements are outside this compound-powder directory.

What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

  • Exact silicide formula and phase
  • Silicon balance and impurity limits
  • Particle distribution and morphology
  • Process, atmosphere and required evidence

Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
