Iron & Magnetic Powders
Iron-base and magnetic alloy powder inquiries, organized by composition, magnetic task and forming or additive-manufacturing route.

Choose a material
Iron and stainless steel powders
Choose elemental Fe or the required steel grade: 316L, 17-4PH or 420. Compare chemistry and powder profile with the structural processing route.
316L stainless steel powder
316L stainless steel powder (austenitic stainless steel; grade-specific)
Fe-Cr-Ni-Mo alloy / 316L
17-4PH stainless steel powder
17-4PH stainless steel powder (precipitation-hardening stainless steel; grade-specific)
Fe-Cr-Ni-Cu-Nb alloy / 17-4PH
420 stainless steel powder
420 stainless steel powder (martensitic stainless steel; grade-specific)
Fe-Cr-C system
Magnetic alloy systems
Fe-Ni, Fe-Si, Fe-Co and Sendust have different compositions. Include surface treatment and the specimen and test conditions behind magnetic data.
Iron-nickel alloy powder
iron-nickel (Fe-Ni) soft-magnetic alloy powder; composition is grade-specific
Fe-Ni system
Iron-silicon alloy powder
iron-silicon (Fe-Si) electrical / soft-magnetic alloy powder; composition is grade-specific
Fe-Si system
Iron-cobalt alloy powder
iron-cobalt (Fe-Co) soft-magnetic alloy powder; composition is grade-specific
Fe-Co system
Sendust alloy powder
Sendust iron-silicon-aluminum (Fe-Si-Al) soft-magnetic alloy powder
Fe-Si-Al system
Iron-chromium-aluminum alloy
Specify the Fe-Cr-Al composition and intended process. Particle size, oxygen and supplied surface condition remain part of the powder requirement.
Iron-chromium-aluminum alloy powder
iron-chromium-aluminum (Fe-Cr-Al) alloy powder; composition is grade-specific
Fe-Cr-Al system

Material selection guide
Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.
Chemistry & grade
Separate elemental iron, stainless grades and magnetic alloy systems. State alloy designation, composition and critical impurity limits.
Powder architecture
Specify particle profile, morphology, flow/density or compaction requirements. Include any insulation or surface-treatment requirement.
Evaluation conditions
For magnetic materials, request the specimen form and field/frequency/temperature conditions. For structural powders, use the intended process qualification brief.
Before you choose
Does a magnetic powder value apply directly to a finished core?
It needs its specimen and test context. Compaction, insulation, heat treatment and geometry are part of the evaluation, so request the measurement basis.
What does this directory cover?
Ceramic ferrite powders are in electronic and functional ceramics. Finished cores, magnets and structural components are not powder-supply entries.
What to include in your request
A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.
- Iron/alloy grade and chemistry
- Particle profile and powder-production route
- Surface treatment and compaction/flow needs
- Magnetic or structural test conditions
Quantity, samples and documents
Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.
We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
