Nickel & Cobalt Alloy Powders

Nickel- and cobalt-base alloy powder inquiries for thermal, wear, corrosion and powder-processing applications. Use the grade and intended process as the starting point.

Choose a material

Nickel alloys 625 and 718

Keep the alloy designation and composition limits explicit. Compare the particle window and production route for the intended AM, sintering or research process.

Other nickel and coating alloy systems

Ni-Cr, Ni-Al, Ni-Cr-B-Si and MCrAlY require distinct compositions. In MCrAlY, identify whether M is Ni, Co or Ni-Co.

NiTi and Co-Cr-Mo

Use the actual Ni/Ti ratio or Co-Cr-Mo grade. Keep the intended forming route and any application qualification separate from the alloy family name.

Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

Alloy identity

Specify 625, 718, Co-Cr-Mo, NiTi, MCrAlY or the intended chemistry with composition limits. These systems have different selection tasks.

Feedstock profile

Describe particle size, manufacturing route, morphology, oxygen and flow/density requirements. Identify pre-alloyed versus blended supply.

Application & evidence

Connect the grade to the intended AM, coating, brazing or sintering process. Ask for grade/lot data appropriate to that qualification.

Before you choose

Is an alloy powder listing evidence of a finished coating's performance?

No. Feedstock, substrate preparation, equipment and process settings all affect the resulting part or coating. Keep powder acceptance separate from process qualification.

What does this directory cover?

Pure nickel and cobalt are elemental-metal entries. Thermal-spray cermets and coating services have separate requirements.

What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

  • Grade and elemental acceptance limits
  • Powder route and pre-alloyed/blend status
  • Particle window, morphology and flow
  • Intended process and grade/lot documents

Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
