3Y-TZP zirconia powder
3Y-TZP powder (3 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia; verify grade convention)
ZrO2-Y2O3 system
Advanced ceramic powders
Stabilized zirconia and mixed-oxide powders, specified by stabilizer system, composition basis and forming or sintering route.

Identify the 3Y, 5Y or 8YSZ requirement and state whether the stabilizer content is expressed in mol% or wt%. Compare loose powder and granulated pressing feed separately.
3Y-TZP powder (3 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia; verify grade convention)
ZrO2-Y2O3 system
5Y stabilized zirconia powder (yttria-stabilized zirconia; phase/grade-specific)
ZrO2-Y2O3 system
8YSZ powder (8 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia; verify grade convention)
ZrO2-Y2O3 system
Choose magnesia or calcia stabilization, then the composition and phase criteria. Use the intended forming and firing process to define particle requirements.
magnesia-stabilized zirconia powder (MgO-ZrO2; Mg-PSZ only when grade confirms)
ZrO2-MgO system
calcia-stabilized zirconia powder (CaO-ZrO2; composition is grade-specific)
ZrO2-CaO system
ZTA, ATZ, spinel, mullite and cordierite are distinct systems. For composites, state which material is the main phase and how the composition is specified.
zirconia-toughened alumina powder (ZTA)
Al2O3 + ZrO2
alumina-toughened zirconia powder (ATZ)
ZrO2 + Al2O3
magnesium aluminate spinel powder (MgAl2O4)
MgAl2O4
mullite ceramic powder (3Al2O3·2SiO2; nominal composition)
3Al2O3·2SiO2
cordierite ceramic powder (2MgO·2Al2O3·5SiO2)
2MgO·2Al2O3·5SiO2

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.
Identify yttria, magnesia, calcia or the intended mixed-oxide system. State whether stabilizer content is reported in mol% or wt%.
Distinguish a loose fine powder, spray-dried granule and prepared feedstock. Define the phase or phase evidence required.
Discuss particle distribution, binder/additives and the intended forming and firing route. Request data applicable to the candidate grade.
YSZ describes a family. Stabilizer content, phase, particle profile and additives can differ. Match the complete grade and processing brief before comparing options.
ZTA, ATZ and other mixed oxides retain their own identities. Thermal-spray feedstock needs process-specific checks in the spray-powder directory.
A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.
Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.
We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
