Solder & Brazing Powders

Solder and brazing alloy powder inquiries for joining and electronic assembly. Define alloy composition, powder class and the actual supplied form.

Choose a material

Tin-based solder powders

Choose Sn-Ag-Cu (SAC), Sn-Bi or Sn-Cu, then the exact alloy ratio and particle distribution. Powder and ready-made solder paste are different supplied forms.

Silver-copper brazing powder

Give the Ag/Cu composition, joining materials and process. Include any required particle-size classification and its stated standard or method.

Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

Alloy & joining task

Specify the solder/brazing alloy, composition limits, substrate and intended joining process. Keep the alloy chemistry distinct from the flux system.

Particle & surface

State particle-size class or distribution with its standard/test basis, morphology, oxygen and storage requirements.

Supply form

Loose powder, flux-containing paste and cored wire are different products. Identify the form required before discussing packaging and quotation.

Before you choose

Is solder powder the same as a ready-to-use solder paste?

No. A paste includes a flux/vehicle system and formulation requirements. If you need loose alloy powder, specify that form explicitly along with its particle class.

What does this directory cover?

Finished paste, flux and wire are not silently substituted for loose powder. Material and destination conditions are reviewed before supply terms are agreed.

What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

  • Alloy designation and elemental limits
  • Particle-size class/distribution and method
  • Powder versus paste/wire requirement
  • Joining process, substrate and storage needs

Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
