Cathode Materials

Cathode active powders for lithium-ion and sodium-ion development. Specify chemistry, particle structure and the test conditions you need to compare.

Choose a material

Phosphate cathodes

LFP, LMFP and sodium vanadium phosphate have distinct compositions. Start with the cell chemistry and, for mixed metals, the intended elemental ratio.

Layered oxide cathodes

For LCO, NMC and NCA, identify the composition before comparing single-crystal or polycrystalline particles, surface treatment and residual alkali.

Manganese oxides and Prussian white

Keep LMO, LNMO and Prussian white as separate choices. Compare the voltage window, current rate and cell configuration behind reported performance.

Material selection guide

Start with the material identity and process, then check the details on the proposed datasheet.

Chemistry & stoichiometry

Identify LFP, LMFP, NMC, NCA, LCO, LMO or the intended sodium-ion system. For mixed-metal oxides, include the target metal ratio.

Particle architecture

Separate primary and secondary particle sizes, single-crystal or polycrystalline requirements, coating and doping. Record residual alkali and moisture limits where relevant.

Performance evidence

Relate capacity and cycling information to voltage, current rate, temperature, loading and cell configuration. Ask which results apply to the candidate grade.

Before you choose

Can different cathode chemistries be ranked from a catalogue value?

A catalogue value does not resolve the trade-offs in your cell design. Start with the intended chemistry and process, then compare candidates using a compatible evaluation protocol.

What does this directory cover?

This directory covers active cathode powders. Conductive additives, binders, electrolytes and finished cells are separate requirements.

What to include in your request

A material name or reference datasheet is enough to start. Add any requirements you already know.

  • Cathode identity and metal ratios
  • Particle distribution and crystal/particle type
  • Coating, doping, moisture and residual alkali
  • Evaluation protocol, quantity and batch records

Quantity, samples and documents

Nike has no fixed minimum order. Tell us the quantity you need; we’ll check supplier pack sizes and any minimums.

We’ll check the proposed grade, sample options, delivery timing and available batch documents. Include any essential COA, TDS or SDS requirements.
